What is Reiki and what does it help with?

Reiki is often referred to as energy healing - especially in the West. It’s also recognised by the NHS and at various clinics and hospices.

Hana likes to think of the energy in our bodies as a river. As we move through life we store stress and trauma in the body - like boulders - which can create physical and mental disturbances.

Reiki helps to ease and shift those boulders, allowing our energy to flow easily - like water.

Reiki is a powerful tool for:

  • Anxiety

  • Stress

  • Depression

  • Chronic pain

  • Inflammation

  • Insomnia and sleep issues

  • Trauma - physical and mental

Where did Reiki come from?

Reiki was first discovered by Tendai Buddhist Mikao Usui (1865-1926) during a 21-day period of deep meditation on Mount Kurama.

He went on to teach 2,000 people before he died, who went on to teach the method to their own students.

This means that Hana is 7th in the Japanese lineage, which stayed in Japan until the late 1980s
